Is there ever a dull moment when capturing extended family portraits? Great question. I would love to tell you!
The answer is no.
In my last post, Sierra & Will’s Engagement, I shared about the most gorgeous trees and lighting at Cedar Creek Park! It’s a location I’ve been to many times in my 12 years of business. And I had two sessions there this year! TWO DAYS IN A ROW. Can’t beat that!
It was gorgeously sunny out for the Lincoln family’s annual photo session. This was their 3rd year as an extended family in front of my camera and it did not disappoint! There were two new additions to their family this time: A little girl who was born not long after the last session I did with them, and a fun-loving puppy!
Six energetic young kids certainly kept me on my toes as we moved around to find good light and beautiful scenery, in the woods.
I love the colors that everyone chose to wear this year! They worked so well with the golden leaves and sunshine.
I’m terrible with names. It is one gift that I would love to have, to be able to remember names! Alas, I was not blessed with that ability. Almost all of the grandchildren here have very unique names. And it’s taken me a while to catch on to them! But I’m pretty sure the name I screwed up the most this time, was the dog. I kept calling precious Lilly, Lucy instead. Hopefully she won’t hold that one against me. Haha.
Alyssa, the beautiful long-haired blonde pictured here, is one of my past brides. I’ve photographed her a few times more than everyone else. I am so excited that she won my winter wonderland photo session giveaway this year! I am looking forward to photographing the other side of her family in just a few weeks! Will you join me in a prayer for snow? Haha. This forecast is getting crazier with temps in the 50’s. Yay, January!
