Oh snow. Where have you gone?
I figured since it was so warm(ish) and sunny out this week, that I’d share another fall family photo session instead of a snowy winter one! Don’t worry though, we “might” get some snow this weekend. At one point, the forecast said a chance of 8-12 inches. While that definitely seems laughable now, we’ll be lucky to get a dusting of tiny snowflakes on Saturday. I know that would make my girl, Alethea, excited.
Matt and Brenda live in southern Maryland, so maybe they’ve been lucky enough to have some snow this winter? Either way, our favorite place on earth, Deep Creek Lake, (where our summer homes are located) will be getting a ton of snow this weekend! Jonathan and I have been trying to figure out a way that we can get away there this weekend for our anniversary, but sadly it isn’t going to work out.
I’ve met Matt and Brenda in many different locations since the very beginning! We had our first meeting in Monroeville. We did their engagement photos in Deep Creek. Their wedding was in Pittsburgh, and we met up again a few months after their precious little girl Michaela was born for this family session at Round Hill Park!
It was pretty chilly out, but at least the sunshine made an appearance! Michaela is just adorable. She has the funniest expressions amidst her serious faces. These photos were taken at the end of November, and yes, there were still plenty of colorful leaves around, though a lot of them were on the ground.
They changed outfits real quick to get some more Christmassy photos. Michaela wore the dress that Brenda had worn for her first Christmas! Brenda’s mom had kept the outfit in the hopes that she’d have a granddaughter to wear it again one day! The lace ruffles were just precious. I just love how in the one photo, they all have flyaway hair and Michaela is looking back at me like “Are we done yet?”
It was so much fun getting to see Matt and Brenda as their family grows! They are clients for life as I’ve photographed their wedding! If I have photographed your wedding (or will in the future) you are too! That means that you are able to have (most) future sessions with me at a very discounted price! I just love seeing you all and capturing your precious memories in life that I want to make it as easy as possible for you to come back for more.
