Morgan & Brandon { Wedding | The Hayloft }

Happy Valentine’s Day!!

I’m so excited to finally be blogging a wedding for the first time!
It’s been a long road, but I am looking forward to the new things I will be doing this year in my business.

Choosing where to start was easy though. When I looked back from all the weddings I photographed last year, I only had one choice: start at the beginning!

Morgan and Brandon were married last May at the Hayloft in Rockwood, PA.

The first day I met Morgan, we had coffee at a starbucks. She told me that she wanted to have a Disney/Pixar “UP” themed wedding. I was so excited from that point on. I knew that Morgan was going to make her wedding day absolutely amazing.

All of the decorations were perfectly styled to the movie UP. From the “Paradise Falls” fund jar, to the grape soda boutonniere pin that Brandon wore.

It turned out to be a beautiful sunny day. The ceremony was held here in the corral area, with the reception in the barn.

Morgan’s dress was absolutely stunning with all the floral appliqués and the lace train. Paired with her bejeweled rose colored heels, it was a perfect match.

All the flowers were made by the florist at the hayloft. They did an incredible job with all the bouquets and boutonnieres! All the flowers were so pretty the entire day!

All of the bridesmaids and flower girls helped Morgan get ready, along with her mom and grandma. There was so much love in that room! I can only imagine all the memories they have made together.

My awesome photographer sister, Kara, was over with the guys taking some photos. I love these moments that she captured!

These girls were so good the entire time! The sun was very bright and warm that day. Right as we finished, all of our shoulders were starting to turn a little pink! So we hurried up and got back inside as fast as we could.

All the guests started arriving and soon enough, it was showtime. They played the song “Married Life” from the UP soundtrack as everyone walked down the isle. You can listen to it here!

I still find it funny to look back on this moment. The ring dropped to the ground. It started a chain reaction because the next 2 weddings I was at, someone dropped the ring again! But no worries, all was good. 🙂

Morgan & Brandon were surrounded by their very loving families. It was so nice to see so much love and support from the people around them. It was a perfect day.

The bridal party, made up of friends and family, were so easy to work with and all some very nice people! Morgan & Brandon are very blessed to have such wonderful friends!

Cookies are one of the best parts of being a Pennsylvania wedding photographer. Only in Pennsylvania will you find cookie tables. Why you ask? You can read all about it here!

Instead of a traditional wedding cake, they opted for these delicious gourmet cupcakes! They all had different kinds of fillings and icing. And they looked pretty amazing too!

Morgans one request for the day was a shot of the rings on the cupcakes! So I was happy to oblige. 🙂

Their friends gave some wonderful toasts full of funny stories and precious memories together.

Everyone had their cameras out for the first dance, to the song “Soulmate” by Josh Turner.

There is a story behind the watch that Brandon is wearing. Apparently, it has been and will be worn by each of his groomsmen on their wedding days! Such a special tradition they will have to share for years to come!

When we walked down to this wooded area, I almost screamed! To my horror there was back along the trail, what looked like a dead body hanging from a tree! Then as I looked around more, there were random body parts hanging everywhere! Exactly what every couple wants in their wedding photos right? In the fall, the hayloft is set up as the “haunted hayloft” and apparently they just leave all the props up in the woods all year round! Needless to say, after my initial heart attack was over, we had a good laugh about it and I had to get creative with my posing skills so that there are no body parts in the photos. It was a great time! 🙂

They were cracking me up when Brandon grabbed her flowers and tried to give me a serious face. You can see how well that worked. 🙂

I had made sure to watch the first 7 minutes of UP before their wedding, and wanted to recreated some of the scenes with Carl & Ellie. It was so much fun incorporating the movie not only in the decorations, but in the photos too!

It all ended with them heading off into the sunset. Their car was covered in balloons and everyone was waving goodbye. It truly was a perfect day!

Morgan & Brandon, I wish you all the best in your lives together! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your wedding day!
