6 years ago, I photographed an engagement session, a wedding, and family photos for these wonderful people and their dogs! They’ve added a little princess to their family since then, so it was time for another family session! Photographing 4 dogs can be a challenge, but when I did their family session back in 2014, they gave me the best tip. And by tip, I mean they gave me a squeaker! I’ve used it so many times through the years (I had to get a new one last year) and I can get the dogs to look right at me every time! I have to be careful though, because I have found that it also works well as a mouse call! I’ve had mice run right at me during a session once. It was frightening and hilarious at the same time!
No mice came running this time, but at one point, the dogs ran right at me as I said “1, 2, 3!” I’ll be more creative with my phrases next time so I don’t get run over. LOL Though, ready-set-go might be worse, who knows!
It was so glowy at White Oak Park for these photos as the sun was going down. There was a graduation party going in the field next to us, and they were playing country music over their speakers. I can’t say that I’ve ever had a session with background music before, but it was certainly entertaining!
Shindehite family, I had such a great time with you all! Thank you for choosing me to capture your memories again! <3
