Alex and Ryan’s wedding day at Bell’s Banquets in Mount Pleasant, was a dream come true!
The sun was shining and the birds were singing as the guests entered into the Barn for the ceremony. Everyone was on pins and needles wondering if Ryan would sing a song to Alex as he did when he proposed. (You can read more of that story on their engagement post here!)
Ryan walked to the front and took a few deep breaths as the music began to play. One after one, the beautiful bridesmaids walked down the aisle in preparation for the bride. Then everyone stood and looked off to the staircase, where Alex and her dad began their walk down the aisle. Ryan’s hands were shaking, tears were swelling in his eyes as his stunning bride walked towards him; her cathedral length veil flowing behind her. After stating their intentions, both Alex’s parents and Ryan’s parents walked to the front to give them their blessings. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room. Then it began. Their vows. Alex spoke her vows like an angel to Ryan, promising to love, honor and always be by his side. And then it was time. The moment everyone had been waiting for. As the officiant held the microphone, Ryan began to sing the words of his vows to his bride. Everyone was quiet as they listened to each word. Alex was beaming with love and joy at this man who she was marrying.
They exchanged rings, and then with a long and passionate kiss, sealed their covenant as husband and wife. Everyone clapped and cheered as they walked out of their ceremony and into their new lives together.
It was their happily ever after come true! Ryan and Alex have been soulmates from the moment they met. I can’t wait to see where the rest of this life takes them!
I recently realized that the last wedding I had photographed before the shut down was Richelle and David’s wedding where I met Alex as a bridesmaid! How fitting that my first wedding back after a long and crazy year and a half of maternity leave and then a world wide shut down, would be Alex’s wedding day! It was perfect!
