Ever since my own wedding day, I’ve come to expect that it will not snow when you want it to…even in the middle of January! This winter wonderland family photo session was no different.
Each year around Christmas time, I give away one winter photo session! I just love winter so much and snowy photos are so beautiful! Not a lot of people enjoy the cold, so I don’t end up booking many winter sessions. Plus, our lack of snow the last couple of years here in Pittsburgh, hasn’t made it ideal for photos. But winter of 2019, we had a really great day full of snow for the winter wonderland session! You can see that here on the blog.
This year, instead of a facebook contest, I’ve decided to give the session away to someone of YOUR choosing! 2020 has been such a tough year. People have lost their jobs, their livelihoods, and their loved ones. It’s been devastating to see the pain that people are suffering. We all know someone who has had it rough.

Last year, the McClain family won the winter wonderland facebook contest and I had so much fun capturing them at Oak Hollow Park in North Huntingdon, with a teeny-tiny patch of snow on the ground. Though if you look closely, you’ll see some little snowflakes in the first couple photos! Winter sessions typically only last about 30 minutes before everyones noses turn red and you can’t feel your fingers anymore. But we can capture so many precious memories in that little time!
