Carol & David’s 50th anniversary party was full of love and laughter. It was such a pleasure to photograph this special event for them! I have photographed several of their grandchildren’s weddings and have done family and senior photos for them as well. It has been such a joy getting to know all of them over the past 10 years. I am so thankful that they keep choosing me to be their family photographer over and over again!
They chose the Huntingdon Place in Turkeytown as their venue to celebrate 50 years of marriage. It was so exciting to see so many people from their family and friends come together to celebrate. They danced, sang, and cut up a whole hog to eat! It’s been so many years since I’ve even seen a whole hog at an event. My memory is that my Grandpa would order one every couple of years for our family reunions. So it seemed so fitting to me that Carol and David had a whole hog to celebrate with their entire family.
David had a dance with each of his daughter’s to the song “Like My Father” by Jax. It’s a song that has been making me teary eyed for a while and it was so perfect for their dances together.
Likewise, Carol also had a dance with her daughter’s to the song “Mom” by Meghan Trainor. Those girls really brought their dance moves! They were joined by all of their daughters and grand daughters on the dance floor and one of Carol’s granddaughters did a special tap dance! It was amazing!
They had a big circle arch set up with flowers in one part of the hall and I was able to capture some formal photos of all of their guests! It was a perfect idea and gave them so many great photos to treasure forever!
Thank you all for having me come and photograph this special event for you! Thank you Carol & David for being such a great example of beautiful marriage for 50 years! Love you all!
