I could probably count the number of times I’ve slept in a tent on one hand. Sleeping outdoors is not a thrill that I find myself chasing, let alone in a place with bears. But this is not the case for the Gramlich family! In fact, they love camping at Deep Creek State Park so much, that they come back every year to do it again!
The slow pace of camping at the park, waking up to morning coffee with the bears, and splashing in the waves in the afternoon is a wonderful way to make family memories. This time around, they decided to hire me to capture their time there as a family on the beach!
There is so much to do in the Deep Creek Area, and this park has a lot! You can hike, mountain bike, visit the Discovery Center, and see the small aviary! But one of the best things to do at this park, is go to the beach! Deep Creek is a fresh water lake, and most of the shoreline is made up of rocks. But at this state park, there are two beautiful beaches right next to each other that you can enjoy. Sticking your toes in the sand, building sand castles, and swimming are a huge part of the enjoyment.
