Eli and Savannah are cousins who live thousands of miles apart! One in Florida and one in Pennsylvania. But when they’re together, they are really united by one thing: Their love of baseball!
Savannah grew up going to many Pittsburgh Pirate games. Her family lived in PA most of her life and her dad was always a season ticket holder for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Eli joined them for many of those games. And his love for Pittsburgh sports runs much deeper than just the Pirates. But I’d say, after hearing him talking about all of the Pirates players and how they perform each game, baseball is his favorite.
They both just started their senior year, so when they found out Savannah was coming to PA to stay for a few weeks this summer, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to have both of their senior photos taken at the same time!
We started out at PNC Park for their senior photos. After about 10 minutes, it started to POUR down rain. I’m always hopeful that it’ll pass over. So we ran down the stairs to the river and hid under some trees where it was dry. They both enjoyed the adventure of dancing in the rain, but after about 10 more minutes, it became very apparent that the rain was only getting harder and not going to let up. So we ran as fast as we could back to our car. By the time we arrived, even though we were able to park very close to PNC Park, all three of us were drenched! We rode with the heat on the whole way back through the Pittsburgh traffic.
Savannah was heading back to Florida soon, and I knew I didn’t take nearly as many photos as I usually did for a senior session, so I offered to come back the next day and take some more photos of the two of them around Eli’s house.
It worked out perfectly! The sun was shining. The birds were singing. We captured some lovely photos of the two of them in North Huntingdon.
So if you’re considering having senior photos taken together with your cousin, the answer is yes! It was so much fun!
